Good Morning!
The Philippines just drop kicked China at The Hague! It's awkward for new President Rodrigo Duterte because he appeared eager to make concessions to the Chinese in the South China Sea - to the point that many Filipinos wonder if he and his secretary of foreign affairs Perfecto Yasay (that name, LOL) had been bribed by the Chinese. Keep in mind that the case was filed by former President Noynoy Aquino.

It doesn't appear that China will accept the decision. So what now?

America is Now a Third World Country. 1- Yesterday Deconstructiva commented that Police in Brazil kill more of their citizens than they do in the United States. 2- Most of the infrastructure in the US is crumbling or has already fallen apart. 3- We have a Congress that is too busy with gridlock to confront any problems all across the country. 4- Our elections are rigged. Most of the voters reject the 2 most popular candidates for President. 5- Congress again - Members of both parties get rich while nothing gets done. It's a Phony Dog & Pony Show. 6- Our food supply is contaminated. Salmonella and E-Coli etc. I probably missed something but that's enough for 1 day.

BREAKING: President Obama Announces Major Update To ObamaCare On Monday, President Obama personally wrote a piece for the American Medical Association’s top journal, JAMA, calling for a “public option” to finally be added to the Affordable Care Act. “Now, based on experience with the ACA, I think Congress should revisit a public plan to compete alongside private insurers in areas of the country where competition is limited.” If enacted, the update to ObamaCare would be huge, to say the least. Having a government-run health insurance option run alongside private plans in exchanges would allow for greater competition in the marketplace. For instance, most Americans (88%) have a considerable amount of options, with an average of at least 3 insurers offering plans in their area. Yet, 12% of Americans only have an average of 2 insurers in their area. The idea is this: having a government-run plan in areas with limited competition available will not only increase competition but it will also help keep costs low. While the President himself cannot enact the proposal without the will of Congress, this is important in itself for several reasons. 1) The election is just around the corner and Democrats are set to retake either one or both chambers of Congress. 2) The likelihood of Hillary Clinton beating Donald Trump is all but guaranteed given the latest poll numbers. Also – Hillary has already stated she backs President Obama on this but plans to offer it in every part of the country, not just in areas with limited competition. With Democrats securing victory across the board, adding a public option would be all but guaranteed. 3) This isn’t just mumbo jumbo written inside a prestigious medical journal. The Democratic Convention will be underway soon, and this is merely the first drumbeat for a major ObamaCare overhaul. Expect the rest of the Democratic Party to follow suit. President Obama and other Democrats foresaw this problem when ObamaCare was initially implemented, but Republicans fought to keep it out. And – they got their way. Now, President Obama wants to finally fix it. And, he’s doing it just before the election because that’s the only way it’s actually going to happen. Democrats will need to win in November across the board for this major revision to take place. It can still happen. The President also announced a few other proposed changes: increased financial assistance to purchase coverage, and increased federal government authority to negotiate prices for certain high-priced drugs. news.groopspeak.com/breaking-president-obama-announces-major-update-to-obamacare/

Speaking of "Jew buddies..." Now seems a good time for an unhinged player's wife to stop tweeting for a while. Who's wife? I must have missed the latest gossip. The phrase "Jew buddies..." contains the link. This is a middle-of-the-road NFL cornerback who played for the Dolphins last year. His wife insulted the Jewish owner and GM, and her husband is now on the Bucs - owned by a Jewish family. [Digression: Two of the three football teams in FL are owned by Jews and the third is owned by a Pakistani Muslim. Somehow I don't hear any rumbling from Trump supporters.]

Education, health, incarceration rates are other excellent ones, but there's one that I find truly fascinating: Most industrialized nations had a very small ratio between employees and their bosses. Its been ticking up across the world, but in the early 2000s, it was single digits almost across the board and now its starting to push into double digits in some of the more conservative countries. Third world nations tend toward triple or higher digit ratios. Now what is America's ratio again? EDIT: We could also toss in "Corporations get to loot the public coffers"

Kevin was all about quoting this guy yesterday. I'm sure he will love this quote.

Kevin was all about quoting this guy yesterday. I'm sure he will love this quote. The final inquiry into the Capital Hill shooting concluded that one of the biggest problems was off-duty officers trying to get to the scene to help - in civilian clothes. There were dozens of reports of other attackers but all proved to be off duty officers just trying to help.

Two armed black men killed by police on Monday. In one case, police are claiming he was pointing a gun but surveillance footage (of admittedly terrible quality) suggests he had his hand up. In the other case, said armament was a knife though the story is more comprehensive and sounds less like it could've been made up - he chased an officer into a patrol car where the officer remained until backup arrived who shot him. www.cbc.ca/news/world/police-shootings-sacramento-houston-aliva-braziel-1.3674732

Is that the window where anything of significance gets done anymore?? No, it won't. Republicans are going to control the House so they'll have no real reason to move on it and the Senate Republicans would have a filibuster available in even the rosiest projections. He's posturing for something else. A few reasons that the first hundred days are productive but the biggest is that its a new perspective in town and they've got a few actions they know exactly what they want to do about and they take those actions. Also, the winner gets a boost of political capital and can spend it a bit to get a few concessions.

Bernie set to endorse Hil today. Is it me or do Big Media seem oddly silent over this? 'Wasn't five months ago that their mouths were watering, wondering loudly that Hil's presidential run was ruined again - this time by a septuagenarian Jew who attracts the youth vote. I've always said we're ill served by our narrative Media. And why it upsets me when you hear nonsense from other dems about what Bernie is supposedly doing. I've known about the endorsement for over a week through people like Thom Hartmann. Bernie have shown up on his radioshow for years. Narrative Media want there to be a conflict between Bernie and Hillary, but the reality that when they survey Bernie supporters 85 percent have already said they'll be voting for Hillary. The rest is up to her to solicit and I'm sure many of them will when Bernie will finally start working to get her nominated. As far as I can tell most dems are butthurt that he doesn't have that magic D by his name, but always seem to support progressive D legislation.

Bernie is more interested in changing the party platform and the direction of the party. Which is far more important in the long run. I will dispute the relevance of 3 and 4 in proving America is a third world country. If Republicans and Democrats didn't spend all they're time blocking each other they could be working on many of these problems. And I blame both parties. Whichever one is in power usually blocks the other one. Saying the GOP is worse doesn't solve anything. Action speaks louder than words.
