Chuck plans to introduce a referendum this afternoon for a vote that will circumvent Tommy Tuberville's ridiculous hold on over 300 military positions and allow them to be staffed immediately - nine months after the initial holds were entered. Once this is settled, the Senate needs to seriously reconsider ever giving one of its members that much power ever again.
So Football Head Coach put our military readiness at risk for his Puritanical stance on abortion. And in 2026 Alabamans will likely vote to keep him anyway since he's not quite the racist sexual harassing monster that Roy Moore was/is.

The Supreme Court has adopted, for the first time, a set of ethic rules. Similar to what they had before and without any teeth.
A lot of shouldn't do this and that without any specific enforcement mechanism. It is basically the old rules, with furrowed brow and more finger wagging, but no essential change.
I hope D's don't take this BS and lay down. The senate should defiantly insist, at minimum, on the same ethic rules other judges operate under. Anything else is just window dressing.

Ah yes, the lunatics who represent gerrymandered safe districts want all of them to jump over the cliff. And who'll hurt the most if we stop funding our government and eventually default?
The people who think they voted for these imbeciles. And who will face no consequence for it. These imbeciles.

One BC Wildfire was tracked to a man who did an open burn pit on his then newly acquired property and didn't properly manage it, not being aware that there were conditions under which such pits can smoulder for months (especially if you're burning tree roots) nor that there were clear regulations that he did not comply with. He appealed the claim that this caused a fire by claiming it was actually arson by the neighbor's son. Investigators pointed out that if he actually thought that, he might have raised it at any point in the 4 years prior to his appeal being heard. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/bc-open-burn-wildfire-forest-appeals-commission-1.7027388

Huh Threats are all fun until you realize that you'd end up as the bag holder for it. Polling shows that people blame GOP more for this nonsense then anyone else. Not that that the freedumb lunatics think so. They're in this bubble where they think that most people are with them. That everyone just want to jump over the cliff and crash the world economy.

Yeah, they censure Tlaib for her free speech, but margie can just go on calling people names without a mention. GOP leadership is feckless and weak. At least Pelosi had the biggest balls holding her responsible for her shit.

So GOP is once more showing that they don't really care about law and order, but the ironic thing is that they want the Justice department to look into why Cohen lied on BEHALF of Trump. I'm sure this is in an effort to paint Micheal Cohen as an unreliable witness, but in doing so they're pointing out that he lied to help Trump. It would probably be smarter to just keep quiet in this particular case.

Senator tough guy Beta male Mullin wanted to have a brawl in a meeting with the Teamster union president. That's GOP for you. They cry decorum, walk around knuckle dragging about their pearl clutching grievances all the fucking time, but obviously feel that they have to do the whole 'lets go outside and settle this'.
And that is because Mullins claims that he works really really hard and no one else does. So obviously labor should be treated like shit. And when he's called out on it, his first thought is to settle it with the only thing he has - brawn. Of course Bernie had to remind his dumb ass that he's a senator and there was not going to be a brawl there. Fucking children. But that is what GOP voters like. Pretend though guys that either shoot all their problems or hits them. Because they know they don't have the brains to solve shit without it.
Mullins really is an odious moron too.

‘Inflation was literally zero’: Economists thrilled with latest report Economists and investors are cheering over news the consumer price index shows inflation was zero for the month of October, meaning prices on average did not rise. "Inflation's receding, baby," exclaimed professor of economics and Brookngs senior fellow Justin Wolfers. "Headline inflation was literally zero -- on average, prices were the same in October as September. Over the year, headline inflation is 3.2%, beating expectations of 3.3%." That means that over the past 12 months, prices on average increased just 3.2%. The drop in inflation has been dramatic: in June of last year, inflation was 9.1%. Wolfers, known for his wit, added, "Let's call this the Mary Poppins economy: Inflation is floating back to target, unemployment remains near fifty-year lows, growth remains robust, and inequality is falling." Wolfers offers good news on wages as well. "Real wages are above pre-pandemic levels," he notes. "Today we saw more progress bringing down inflation while maintaining one of the strongest job markets in history," President Biden said Tuesday in a statement from the White House. "At 3.2%, annual inflation is now down by 65% from the peak. Gas prices are below $3.40 per gallon, reflecting an average decline of $1.65 from the peak after Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. Inflation has come down while the unemployment rate has been below 4% for 21 months in a row—the longest stretch in more than 50 years—while wages, wealth, and the share of working-age Americans with jobs are all higher now than before the pandemic." Wolfers concluded: "Let the gloom and doomers in your life know you still love them, even if they're wrong about everything." Ah yes, decorum. GOPers always cry about how mean people are and how civil they have to be...but them acting accordingly themselves?
No, their grievance permits them to tell people to do as they say, not as they do.

I am amused by the endless fucking excuses for everything Trump does. Keep in mind; this is the Alpha dog. The guy everyone think could stop wars and conflicts before it happened. That all the tyrants around the world that write him love letters would never do something bad if he was president. He is the smartest guy in the room - the negotiator. People talk about him as a macho 800 pound gorilla that gets shit done.
Except for when he is criminally inept. In all his responses to COVID, it was always someone elses fault. Someone was always missing context. All his indictments. It is always a political hit job, not a guy that hid secret documents in a bathroom. McCarthy said for example that anyone could break into Bidens garage where he found AND let the proper authority know, he had some documents from his time as Veep. Meanwhile McCarthy suggested that you can 'lock' a bathroom. That's right.
Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade this weekend decided to kiss Trumps ass so hard. You see, Fox and other rightwingers are making the case that Biden is too old and has been in a constant mental decline for years now. It apparently only manifests sometime, like he says the wrong word or maybe stumbles. Meanwhile, super Alpha Omega dog Trump, the biggest brain in the room, when he says weird shit, it is either ignored or simple excuses. Like when he kept saying he's running against Obama. Brian stated unironically that what Trump meant was that OBAMA is using Biden as a meat puppet. He is in control behind the scenes, because Biden is old and so gone that he's controlled by his handlers. He apparently said this off the record, you know when no one heard him make that clear point. Because Trump is apparently just word salad and mental brain farts in public, but in private he's like 'I so declare, what I actually meant - please write this down dear Brian watson...".
And that is the funny part. In public we remember Trump as they can that told people to inject bleach and put lights down their throats and all kind of cooky shit. He was demur and subservient to all the tyrants, bowing to their generals. He said shit that only a halfwit would. But in private, behind doors, he spoke to these asskissers like he was a Nobel price winner. So in public: AAAARGHH I LOVE PUTIN AND BLEACH COFEFFE and in private he solved intricate formulas and dazzled people with his ever expanding pucker hole for them to crawl into. Warm and fuzzy.
Trump is not just a legend in his own mind. His a legend in all these morons minds. The Trump they claim only exist in fantasy, because in reality he was a remarkably incompetent 2 bit hustler and used car sales person that charmed the dumbest people among us and the only people who ever bowed to him or suck his dick was the entire GOP establishment while they invited the boatload of lunatic Freedumb morons to infest our congress.
Trump has always sounded and acted like the idiot he truly is. He has no savvy. The only reason why he couldn't do more damage then he did, was because he doesn't understand how shit works because he's an entitled moron. And the only thing he managed to get something done, and most of it was bad shit and tax cuts, was because GOP fell in line like a bunch of whipped dogs.
Brian Kilmeade is a complete moron. If you have ever heard him you realize he believe the dumb shit he says. So yes, he had this fantasy conversation with Trump off the air and it is all the idiot locust need. A barely cogent excuse why the moron brings up Obama instead of Biden in his barely lucid rants. It takes a village of idiots to translate the stupid shit Trump says into excuses. And Brian is there to dive in and pull out the dingle berries.

BTW, don't be shocked that Trump fighting Obama (as I noted) is a reference to Obama as a handler - take his word for it - and Trump calling ALL liberals vermin (like a good fascist) is taken out of context. And will be 'whatabout Hillary saying deplorables' excused. You know rightous grievance.

Trooth Sosjuls is apparently bleeding cash.
In 2022 it lost 50 million with 1.4 million in ad sales
And in the first 6 months of 2023, it has brough in 2.3 million in ad sales, but lost 23 million. So from its inception it has lost roughly 75 mill. BTW, this is actually still better than twitter. Comparing a new service with an older service is a little bit like apples and oranges, but it also shows you how much more incompetent Elon Musk is compared to whomever runs the bath tub called Trooth Sosjul.
