So Taylor Swift decided to tell her fans to donate to Anera, a charity that deals with development assistance and emergency relief. Megan Kelly being the blond airhead she like to think she's not, decided to dunk on Taylor Swift (it is the new thing on the right since they're always a victim of something imaginary) and say that NGO Monitor reports that this group apparently is aligned with Hamas and for people to 'just google it'.
Turns out however that NGO Monitor PRAISES the group for their quality work in the region. And nothing about Hamas.

He's not quite the Sinema, now he is also the the 'concerned about the border' BS.
It is saddening. Given that he ran on deep labor issues and stating he was creating a progressive movement in PA.
Pity. We'll see what he'll do going forward, but the fact that he has lined himself up with large donors, it is possible that he is cashing in. The Israel stuff none withstanding, the border BS really makes me sad.
And of course Media people are now starting to call him a 'Maverick' ala Sinema.

The blue collar union people have historically been economically progressive (or at least, pro worker) but fairly centrist - arguably conservative - socially and moderately anti-immigration. Fetterman seemed to bring a more progressive mindset on most identity issues, but his position on immigrant isn't really that shocking to me. My point being: I expect him to be progressive on economic issues, moderately-left on social issues, and I have zero expectations of him regarding foreign policy. That hasn't been contradicted yet, IMO. And, lest we forget, the Bernie Bros had some issues with social issues, especially sexism. |
