Seems like no matter if there are 7 competitors going against Blob or just one, he still gets ~50% of the vote tally. Can't see how else he can spin this.

Darling Nikki will likely fall in line also, but she doesn't have to yet. Likely to stay in through Super Tuesday.

I don't know what her plan is but I would not be shocked if she stays in until the Supreme Court rules on disqualification.... I'm not saying it's likely to rule her way but that's far more likely than their head to head numbers.

So there's a Twitter account called "World of Engineering". Occasionally, they post polls testing people's knowledge on various math and science concepts.
Today they went with a chemistry question.... and people lost their minds about how they seemed to be drifting from their discussions on Engineering. Fascinating....

In fact, if you check out the Wikipedia articles for, say, the 2020 Democratic Primaries, the chart of candidates uses "Campaign suspended" as a column.

London, ON police have asked 5 hockey players from Canada's 2018 World Junior team to surrender themselves for pending Sexual Assault charges. www.tsn.ca/hockey-canada/report-five-members-of-canada-s-2018-wjc-team-told-to-surrender-to-london-police-1.2066984We don't know for sure that they're related but over the last 5 days, the following professional hockey players, all of whom were on said 2018 team, were granted leaves of absence by their respective clubs: - Dillon Dube, Calgary Flames - Carter Hart, Philidelphia Flyers - Cal Foote, New Jersey Devils - Michael McLeod, New Jersey Devils - Alex Formenton, HC Ambrì-Piotta, (Swiss) National League apnews.com/article/hockey-canada-sexual-assault-leave-19fd7216d95efcd2a753911bc05e0dbbNote: This is the same case that basically nuked Hockey Canada as the entire executive team was forced to resign as sponsors, constituent groups and governments abandoned the institution. In the original report, 8 players had been identified but subsequent checks into the details concluded that 5 had committed crimes while others were "witnesses". None of the 8 have been officially named.

But there's always the opportunity to crank it back up in case the nominee is incapacitated, or something. The big detail is filing deadlines. If you're not actively sending teams into each upcoming state and getting the signatures you need, you're not going to be on the ballot. There is a world where Haley ends up being uncontested for like a month after Trump gets disqualified. Also, in this world the only person for the first several states who qualifies for delegates is Haley. DeSantis gets a few from Iowa but that's basically it. The Republican convention just becomes pure chaos.

So one side story from the 2018 World Juniors case: while the other clubs made no comment other than "personal matters", when Dillon Dube left the team, it was to deal with a "mental health" matter.
My take:
Dube left 2 days before the others. There's a lot of interpretations including he might not be amongst the 5 (the biggest flaw is his agent is not returning calls and if Dube wasn't one of the 5, the agent would absolutely be clarifying), but if we assume he is, that would put his leave of absence starting on Sunday. I think it unlikely Dube was informed Sunday - unless he got a leak of it - so that would suggest he was informed Friday at the latest*. Is it inconceivable that he spent Saturday going through a mental breakdown? I think not. At which point it's a messaging question and to that, the Flames have an absolutely terrible set of options.
*The biggest problem I have with all of this: Dube was told on Friday which suggests that all 5 were told Friday which suggests that no team granted leave until Tuesday at which point all teams granted leave.

I had to really think about this, considering I've replaced/bought new nearly everything since moving to and from Leeds, or my Mum did for this house before we moved in, until I realized the answer was pretty much sitting in front of me - (it's on top of my PC case, that's sitting on my desk next to my monitor, lol) - my old alarm clock: www.snellingsmuseum.co.uk/artefact/audio/murphy-ar686l
