I don't dispute why but at the end of the day, voters decide based upon results. Only if their votes are allowed to be counted... Votes not being counted is an issue in the margins. Not to say it's unimportant, but I'm talking about how we should expect anywhere from a 5-20% improvement in prospects and we aren't seeing it. That's not a voter suppression problem.

Trump says that there will be a bloodbath if he lose this fall.
He's a sociopath.

They aren't saying what happened on the LATAM flight, but Boeing has sent out a notice to all airlines that there's a switch on the back of the pilot seat in the 787 that is for moving the seat back and forth and that if it's loose, it may cause the seat to move and shove the pilot into the controls. You push on the stick to go down so.... www.washingtonpost.com/business/2024/03/15/latam-dreamliner-dive-boeing-switch/Apparently there was a bulletin in 2017 about this. The incident plane was delivered in 2015. Which is interesting because if that is the problem, then it almost certainly is a maintenance issue but it's a non-viable long term strategy to remain vigilant and Boeing may get ordered to redesign that switch Note that this is not consistent with what the pilot initially reported which was dead control panel though that may have been what he chose to tell the passengers to keep them calm. Personally, I'd be less concerned if your explanation was "my seat came loose and shoved me into the controls" than "our control panel went dead"

737 MAX gets another Airworthiness Directive AKA a mandatory service order over an improper installation, its third* in 2024. This time it's that improper installation of wiring to the spoilers can degrade the wiring causing the spoilers to deploy midflight. www.forbes.com/sites/marisagarcia/2024/03/11/faa-issues-new-warning-of-wiring-issue-on-737-max-wing-spoilers/amp/Spoilers are panels on top of the wing that are meant to lift up after touchdown to reduce lift and put more weight on the tires. Which might be bad midflight. Note that they're part of the autoland sequence and meant to deploy automatically after touchdown so the pilot doesn't need to manually change 10 things in 3 seconds * #1 was obvious the door panels. #2 was loose bolts in the rudder control system which was upgrading a December alert to mandatory - ending a grace period for operators to due it upon a reasonable schedule without grounding the plane. All three of these ADs have a similar theme: production defects
