That's great, so what will he do to the end the violence against Gaza and West Bank. He has promised unwavering support to Israel in their thirst for vengeance and the right for them to slaughter Palestinians. So now what has he promised to do to end the slaughter? Or was it more rethorical, like, we should be mean to Palestinians anywhere? Any concrete steps to end the bloodbath anytime soon?

I'm asking because the impression people have so far is still unwavering material support to Israel without conditions. Such as passing another 100 billion aid package for both Ukraine and Israel.

So I watched this, and other then 'we cannot let our anger Jews anywhere and we cannot let Islamophobia spill out against American Muslims/Arabs/Palestinian', we will provide aid to Palestinian (I assume the negotiated aid from Egypt to Southern Gaza, which Israel is still limiting), but nothing about electricity, fuel and water that is still cut off. No mentioning about the relentless bombarding, only that Hamas has to be destroyed. No mentioning about the current terror campaign against the West Bank, which has no Hamas.

Be honest.

Was there anything in this speech that still didn't lay all burden of this conflict on 'Hamas' and therefor also Palestinians? What measures did you hear in the speech that guarantees the safety of all Palestinians in the region and doesn't provide unlimited support to Israel?

Here is what we know.

Jordan has walked away from any talks and insist on 1967 borders for a 2 state solution.

Saudi Arabia has paused diplomacy to normalize ties with Israel amid the violence between Hamas militants and Israeli forces, people familiar with the matter said, in a major blow to President Joe Biden’s ambitions for the Middle East.

Saudi officials communicated Riyadh’s position to the US in recent days, said the people, who asked not to be identified discussing private talks. They described the move as a pause and not as an end to the diplomacy. A U.S. official, who also asked not to be identified, said the administration continues to be in touch with the Saudis and hasn’t been told that the initiative was being paused.

As desperate Palestinians in sealed-off Gaza try to find refuge under Israel’s relentless bombardment in retaliation for Hamas’ brutal Oct. 7 attack, some ask why neighboring Egypt and Jordan don’t take them in.

The two countries, which flank Israel on opposite sides and share borders with Gaza and the occupied West Bank, respectively, have replied with a staunch refusal. Jordan already has a large Palestinian population.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi made his toughest remarks yet on Wednesday, saying the current war was not just aimed at fighting Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip, “but also an attempt to push the civilian inhabitants to … migrate to Egypt.” He warned this could wreck peace in the region.

Jordan’s King Abdullah II gave a similar message a day earlier, saying, “No refugees in Jordan, no refugees in Egypt.”

Their refusal is rooted in fear that Israel wants to force a permanent expulsion of Palestinians into their countries and nullify Palestinian demands for statehood. El-Sissi also said a mass exodus would risk bringing militants into Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, from where they might launch attacks on Israel, endangering the two countries’ 40-year-old peace treaty.

Jordan, long considered a bastion of stability in the region, has seen mass protests in recent days. Late Tuesday, pro-Palestinian protesters tried to storm the Israeli Embassy, and on Wednesday morning, thousands of people protested outside the building, according to the AFP.

"They are all normalizing Arab rulers, none of them are free, the free ones are all dead!" one protester shouted on Tuesday night. "Arab countries are unable to do anything!"

Egypt was the first Arab country to make peace with Israel, in the late 1970s. Jordan followed in 1994.

Egypt has not seen many large protests since the latest Hamas-Israel war started, but on Wednesday, thousands of people demonstrated across the country in solidarity with Gaza, according to the AFP. A small group of activists outside the U.S. and U.K. embassies in Cairo called for Egypt to cut ties with Israel and expel its ambassador on Tuesday night. Security has been increased in the Maadi district of the city, where the Israeli embassy is based, the AFP said.

Protests are largely banned in Egypt, and authorities have waged a heavy crackdown on dissent for over a decade, making such demonstrations a rare event. The country is also grappling with fears that Israel could push the Gaza Strip's 2.3 million residents into Egypt's Sinai Peninsula.

"The U.S. administration is a partner through supporting the crimes committed by the occupation military against the people of Gaza," said Khaled Dawoud, the spokesperson for a coalition of opposition political parties and public figures.

Protests also erupted in Lebanon, where Hezbollah has traded fire with Israeli forces at the border, threatening to enter the war with its massive arsenal of rockets. Some photos showed protesters throwing rocks at the French embassy complex in Beirut overnight, with members of the Lebanese army and police guard standing between the building and the crowd.

The war between Israel and Gaza has caused deep-seated divisions in the Labour Party that have lingered since the Jeremy Corbyn years to resurface at its annual conference in Liverpool.

Keir Starmer was quick to condemn Hamas’s attack on Israel and shadow cabinet members have echoed his support for Benjamin Netanyahu’s government.

But while the message from Labour’s leadership is clear – Israel has every right to defend itself against terrorists – the violence has reignited conversations among party supporters on what needs to be done to address the long-term conflict.

Shadow foreign secretary David Lammy said Labour would “not surrender the hope of two states living side-by-side in peace”, as he warned both Israelis and Palestinians were paying a “terrible price” after Hamas’s “indiscriminate” attacks.

Labour MP Margaret Beckett, who served as foreign secretary from 2006-07 in Tony Blair’s government, told a fringe event at the conference that numerous opportunities for peace between Israel and Palestine had been “wasted and disappeared”.

She said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was a “poisonous influence” on the Middle East peace process.

Wayne David, Labour’s shadow minister for the Middle East and North Africa, said the UK should “not turn a blind eye” to the “huge injustices committed against the Palestinian people for many years”.

Mr David told the event on Palestinian rights: “I believe that the people of Palestine should not be equated with Hamas.”

He said Israeli settlers were guilty of “terrorist activity” and that Israel’s response to Saturday's Hamas attack “must be proportionate”.

He also called for more UK aid for beleaguered Palestinians.

France and Germany have moved to ban pro-Palestine demonstrations in their countries following Hamas’s Oct. 7 attack on Israel which killed 1,400 Israelis. Israel has responded with relentless airstrikes which killed nearly 4,000 Gazans so far. What’s behind the protest ban?

Is free speech a casualty of the current Middle East conflict? Supporters of Palestine say they struggle to be heard, especially in places like France and Germany, where protests in support of Palestinians have been banned since the start of the conflict on Oct. 7. Meanwhile, pro-Israel protests have not been prohibited in these countries.

The governments said the ban is to stop anti-Semitism and public disorder. But supporters of Palestinians say they fear expressing their support and risking arrest, losing their jobs, or impacting their immigration status.

Despite the bans, supporters of Palestine in both Germany and France continued to take to the streets to voice their support. However, most of these protests were broken up by police teargas and water cannon.

Since Oct. 12, France has issued nearly 752 fines over the defiance of the banned protests and nearly 43 people were detained so far.

In Germany, nearly 190 people have been arrested at demonstrations. Permission to protest was refused to several groups, including one called “Jewish Berliners Against Middle Eastern Violence”.

Human rights groups acknowledged the need to protect Jewish communities but have expressed concern over the repression of legitimate protests.

Hungary and Austria have also joined in efforts to block pro-Palestine protests since the start of the conflict.

None of the protests in Europe is on Biden of course, but this hints to a larger issue at hands. European leaders and USA has promised unconditional support for Israel. And people around the world, especially in Middle East are noticing the lack of effort to pull the plug on further atrocities. And Middle Eastern countries fear, rightly so, that Israel is pushing Palestinians to flee, like they have done so many times before in order to steal more land.

I mean it was a nice speech about not letting this lead to violence against our American friends of all ethnicities and I agree wholeheartedly. But there is no end in sight. And that is the problem. Meanwhile billions will flow to aid Israel, while instability rocks the region.

In excellent news, at least when it comes to paying his judgment to the Sandy Hook parents he won’t get it:

The judge in Alex Jones’s bankruptcy case ruled on Thursday that he will not be allowed to use his Chapter 11 filing to evade paying more than $1 billion in verdicts to families of the Sandy Hook shooting.

The ruling by Judge Christopher Lopez in a Houston bankruptcy court means that Mr. Jones, the Infowars conspiracy broadcaster, will likely be working the rest of his life to pay his debt to the families. Last year, they were awarded historic damages in defamation lawsuits against him.

It also closes off the possibility that Mr. Jones could liquidate Infowars and force the families to accept whatever proceeds result, leaving him free to start a new business.

Earlier this year, the families asked that Judge Lopez order Mr. Jones to pay them the full damage awards, with no possibility of a trial or a forced settlement over a lesser amount — in legal terms, to make Mr. Jones’s debts to the families “non-dischargeable” through bankruptcy.

Mr. Jones spent years spreading lies that the 2012 shooting that killed 20 first graders and six educators at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., was a hoax aimed at confiscating Americans’ firearms. In 2018, the families of 10 victims sued him for defamation, and in trials in Texas and Connecticut they were awarded $1.4 billion in damages. As the cases went to trial, Infowars declared bankruptcy, and Mr. Jones declared personal bankruptcy late last year.

It's safe to say that Israel must come up with a plan for the West Bank's future from the rubble. They likely don't have one. Joe should stay on them, I agree. But let's not make 2 + 2 = 470.

We saw from the hospital bombing that the only thing that was buried in the rubble was the truth.

Joe should stay on them. But he is not. Nor is Europe. Now is the time to do it. Not 30 days from now, considering that Israel is using the shadow of the Gaza flames to overtly doing it in the West Bank. Israel - by their own words and admission will not stop until they have taken over a large part of Gaza. They've expressed as much. On the highest official level. We, therefor, as their most important ally, has to put pressure for them to immediately turn back on electricity, water and deliver fuel and food. We have to pressure them, and Biden has to calm the middle east by stating that we are doing it. But we're not.

Nor is Europe. Europe is instead clamping down in Palestinian protests - be it from Jews for an end to the war as in Germany, or from Palestinians living there. Whereas any march for Israelis is allowed to go on.

Did we now?

If that is your take away - in the same hospital that was hit by Israeli artillery a few days earlier that killed several people, and the shelling and bombing of all other hospitals, with over 4000 dead now? Over 64 by now murdered in West Bank, it does appear that Israel is doing a fantastic job in burying the truth. Do you think anyone can drop that many bombs without significant destruction and death toll?

Here is what we are seeing. The ungluing of Israel's normalized relationship with their neighbors and a much worse diplomatic picture for us. We continue to anchor us to Israel's every whim. Especially since Bibi continue to move the government in a rightward dangerous tilt, and disbanding the very democratic institution that makes them the only true Democracy in the region.

KHAN YOUNIS, Gaza Strip (AP) — Israel bombarded the Gaza Strip early Friday, hitting areas where Palestinians had been told to seek safety, and it began evacuating a sizable Israeli town near the border with Lebanon, the latest sign of a potential ground invasion of Gaza that could trigger regional turmoil.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant’s comments to lawmakers were the first time a top Israeli official discussed its long-term plans for Gaza. Gallant said Israel expected a three-phase war, starting with airstrikes and ground maneuvers. It anticipates then defeating pockets of resistance, and finally, ceasing Israel's “responsibility for life in the Gaza Strip.”

Over a million people have been displaced in Gaza, with many heeding Israel's orders to evacuate the northern part of the sealed-off enclave on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. Though Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had called areas in south Gaza “safe zones” earlier this week, Israeli military spokesman Nir Dinar said Friday: “There are no safe zones.”

Gaza’s overwhelmed hospitals are rationing their dwindling medical supplies and fuel for generators, as authorities worked out logistics for a desperately needed aid delivery from Egypt. Doctors in darkened wards across Gaza performed surgeries by the light of mobile phones and used vinegar to treat infected wounds.

The deal to get aid into Gaza through the territory’s only entry point not controlled by Israel, remained fragile. Israel said the supplies could only go to civilians and that it would “thwart” any diversions by Hamas. More than 200 trucks and some 3,000 tons of aid were positioned at or near the crossing in Rafah, a city that straddles northern Egypt and southern Gaza.

Work began Friday to repair the road at the border that had been damaged in airstrikes, with trucks unloading gravel and bulldozers and other road repair equipment filling in large craters.

Speaking hours after returning to Washington from an urgent visit to Israel, Biden linked the current war in Gaza to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, saying Hamas and Russian President Vladimir Putin "both want to completely annihilate a neighboring democracy.”

Except for the facts that Israel has occupied the Palestinian territories for 75 years. In that respect Israel is just like Russia. Regardless what Hamas stated goal is, Israel continued theft of Palestinian ancestral land is the reason why Israel keep getting attacked.

An Israeli airstrike hit a Greek Orthodox church housing displaced Palestinians near the hospital late Thursday. The Israeli military said it had targeted a Hamas command and control center nearby, causing damage to a church wall. Gaza's Hamas-run Health Ministry said 16 Palestinian Christians were killed.

The Greek Orthodox Patriarchy of Jerusalem condemned the attack and said it would “not abandon its religious and humanitarian duty” to provide assistance.

I'm sure the Greek Orthodox Patriarchy is just full of Hamas fans.

With supplies running low because of a complete Israeli siege, some Gaza residents are down to one meal a day and drinking dirty water.

The Gaza Health Ministry has pleaded with gas stations to give fuel to hospitals, and a U.N. agency also donated some of its last fuel. Gaza's sole power plant shut down last week, forcing Palestinians to rely on generators, and no fuel has gone in since the start of the war.

Hamas killed some 1400 men, women and children and took hostage what appears to be around 200. Hostages Israeli officials do not seem to care much about in their relentless bombardment. And for all we know, some of them have been brutally murdered by Hamas and killed in the bombardment.

We also know that Hamas and other terrorist groups keep firing off rockets; few have done much damage because there seems to be very little death toll from it. Which is historically true since the introduction of the Iron Dome, but also before that. These are highly inaccurate rockets with limited reliability. Most of them are improvised and as far as most can tell are not all that lethal.

US official estimate of the one that hit the hospital, if it was a malfunctioning rocket, killed some 100-200 and not 500 as Hamas says. But again, there is no independent verified source, so 100-200 is more likely.

We know that roughly 4000 as a low estimate Palestinians have died with some 100 approaching in the West Bank. The ones in the West Bank keep dying despite there not being any Hamas there and the Palestinian authorities having clashed with protesters to simmer them down. But that have not stopped Israeli Settlers and IDF from murdering anyone with a stick.

And there is a real risk that when IDF finally goes in, Hezbollah will most likely attack in full, which will only lead to more bloodbath in Lebanon with little damage to Israel. And honestly, if they can keep the clashes to the border region and Hezbollah is mostly the victims, I couldn't care less. These people are fanatics. But, as we often sees, the conflict expands and civilians in Lebanon dies. Lets hope IDF have enough troops stationed there to stop Hezbollah from doing any damage, and it appears IDF has moved civilians out of harms way in anticipation of additional attacks.

The finding comes just days after the Alaska Department of Fish and Game announced the snow crab harvest season was canceled for the second year in a row, citing the overwhelming number of crabs missing from the typically frigid, treacherous waters of the Bering Sea.

The study, published Thursday by scientists at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, found a significant link between recent marine heat waves in the eastern Bering Sea and the sudden disappearance of the snow crabs that began showing up in surveys in 2021.

“When I received the 2021 data from the survey for the first time, my mind was just blown,” said Cody Szuwalski, lead author of the study and fishery biologist at NOAA. “Everybody was just kind of hoping and praying that that was an error in the survey and that next year you would see more crabs.”

“And then in 2022, it was more of a resignation that this is going to be a long road,” Szuwalski told CNN.

That year was the first the US snow crab fishery was closed in Alaska. Catchers have attributed to the population decline to overfishing, but “overfished” is a technical definition that triggers conservation measures, experts told CNN — it doesn’t actually explain the collapse.

“The big take home for me from the paper, and just the whole experience in general, is that historically, fishery scientists had been very worried about overfishing — this has been our white whale, and in a lot of places we really solved that with management,” Szuwalski said. “But climate change is really throwing a wrench into our plans, our models and our management systems.”

Federal prosecutors rejected former President Donald Trump’s claims that he enjoyed “absolute immunity” from prosecution after he was indicted in Washington, D.C., over his efforts to remain in power after losing the 2020 presidential election.

Trump’s attorneys are seeking to have the four federal charges filed against him dismissed, claiming any act he took leading up to the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection at the Capitol should be considered part of his presidential duties. The lawyers moved to cast Trump’s statements to hold on to power and effectively undertake a coup as an attempt to “ensure election integrity,” adding a president must, at times, be able to take “bold and unhesitating action” without fear of prosecution.

Their 52-page filing earlier this month compared Trump’s comments before the violent attack at the Capitol to those of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

Federal prosecutors rejected those assertions in a filing with the Federal District Court in Washington.

“The defendant is not above the law,” prosecutors wrote. “He is subject to the federal criminal laws like more than 330 million other Americans, including members of Congress, federal judges, and everyday citizens.”

“In staking his claim, he purports to draw a parallel between his fraudulent efforts to overturn the results of an election that he lost and the likes of Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address and George Washington’s Farewell Address,” the filing continued. “These things are not alike.”

FIRST ON FOX: A nonprofit media watchdog captured video footage this month that it says shows attorneys from a prominent Texas law firm telling school administrators how to get around a state law that bans the promotion of critical race theory.

Accuracy in Media's secret agents set up meetings with school administrators where they pose as parents interested in moving into the district.

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel's office has dismissed the charges against one of the 16 people who allegedly signed a document falsely claiming Donald Trump won the state’s electoral votes in 2020 during an effort to overturn the results of the election.

The decision came after the alleged fake elector, James Renner, agreed to "cooperate fully" with the attorney general's investigation.

Renner was charged with eight felony counts, including election law forgery and conspiracy to commit election law forgery. At a court hearing Thursday morning, Assistant Attorney General LaDonna Logan moved to drop all charges “based on an agreement between the parties.”

Technically, presidents are voted in by slates of electors who cast their votes for the candidates selected by their states’ popular votes. As Trump tried to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election, his allies readied slates of electors in multiple states.

The group of 16 Republicans met in December 2020 in the basement of the Michigan GOP headquarters, where they signed a certificate stating they were the state’s “duly elected and qualified electors," prosecutors said.

“That was a lie,” prosecutors said in the charging documents, adding that “they weren’t the duly elected and qualified electors, and each of the defendants knew it.”

The dominoes are falling.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A former Wisconsin Supreme Court justice who fought a subpoena ordering her to appear in court in a lawsuit related to advice she gave about possible impeachment of a current liberal justice will not have to provide testimony, a judge ruled Wednesday.

Dane County Circuit Judge Frank Remington decided against holding a hearing where evidence would be taken from the former justice and others. Instead, Remington told attorneys he will first hear arguments on whether the lawsuit alleging open meetings violations should be dismissed.

That hearing will take place Thursday.

Republican lawmakers have threatened possible impeachment of current Justice Janet Protasiewicz related to comments she made during the campaign calling GOP-drawn legislative maps “rigged” and “unfair.” She joined with the liberal majority of the court in agreeing to hear a lawsuit supported by Democrats that seeks to overturn the GOP maps and enact new ones.

Wisconsin Republican Assembly Speaker Robin Vos asked three former conservative Supreme Court justices for advice on impeachment. Two of the three told him that impeaching Protasiewicz was not warranted. The third, former Chief Justice Patience Roggensack, has not said what her advice was and Vos has repeatedly refused to disclose it.

All three of the former justices have said they met only once and each acted independently. They have denied that they constitute a governmental body subject to Wisconsin's open meetings law.

Vos sure is a dingleberry.

The judge overseeing Donald Trump’s bank fraud trial threatened to throw the former president in jail—and hit him with punishing fines—for “blatantly” violating a gag order by refusing to delete a website post attacking court staff.

Justice Arthur F. Engoron, striking a serious tone, began Friday at trial by laying out the high stakes and demanding that Trump’s lawyers explain themselves.

“In the current overheated climate, incendiary comments can and in some cases already has, led to serious physical harm and worse. I will now allow the defendants to explain why this blatant violation of the gag order would not result in serious sanctions, including financial sanctions and/or possibly imprisoning him,” Engoron said.

Trump Is About to Be Ripped to Shreds by NYC Bank Fraud Trial Judge

The case that Engoron is presiding over—Trump’s New York bank fraud trial—is a civil matter, meaning jail time wasn’t ever supposed to be in the cards, only stiff fines and a threat to ruin his real estate empire.

But now, Trump appears to be facing a very real threat of spending time in jail if his antics continue.

Defense lawyer Christopher Kise immediately apologized for Trump’s behavior, blaming the 2024 Republican presidential candidate’s bloated “campaign machinery” for simply forgetting to remove a webpage that mirrored the Truth Social post Trump had already deleted.

“There was no intention to evade or circumvent or ignore the order. I assure you that. I just know that this is a very large machine and this is one of the reasons, frankly, I don't have social media,” Kise said, trying to deflect with some light humor.

“But that’s been taken down. And we don't have any other… there were no subsequent postings,” Kise added.

The judge didn’t immediately accept that excuse.

“I will take that under advisement, but… Donald Trump is still responsible for the large machine,” Engoron reminded him.

The Daily Beast first reported that this lashing was coming Thursday night.

The formal reprimand follows several warnings this judge has given for the out-of-control real estate tycoon—who has spent months intimidating witnesses and maligning judges and prosecutors—to not follow the same modus operandi in New York state court.

At issue is the way that Trump managed to bungle the very start of his trial by lying about the judge’s top legal adviser. On the second day of trial earlier this month, Trump took to his Truth Social media network to share a MAGA-aligned Twitter user’s post asking, “Why is Judge Engoron's Principal Law Clerk, Allison R. Greenfield, palling around with Chuck Schumer?” Trump also linked to her personal Instagram page, drawing the attention of his huge fan base against her.

Trump Trial Day 2: New York AG Tries to Drive Wedge Between Trump and Accountant

On Friday morning, Engoron carefully went over what had already transpired thus far to remind Trump’s lawyers of the hot water they’re in, citing the “untrue disparaging and personally identifying post about my principal law clerk.” He also revealed what happened in his closed courtroom when reporters weren’t present.

“I spoke to defendants on and off the record. Off the record, I ordered Donald Trump to remove the post immediately. Approximately 10 minutes later, Donald Trump represented to me that he had taken down the offending post,” he began.

“I then, on the record, imposed on all parties to his action a very limited gag order forbidding ‘all parties from posting, emailing or speaking publicly about any members of my staff,’ emphasizing quite clearly that ‘personal attacks on members of my court staff are unacceptable, inappropriate and I will not tolerate them under any circumstances,’” he recalled.

“Despite this clear order, last night I learned that the subject of the offending post was never removed from the website donaldjtrump.com, and in fact had been on that website for the past 17 days. I understand that it was removed late last night, but only in response to email from this court,” he went on.

Engoron, who is typically easygoing in court, was anything but while he reprimanded Trump’s legal team. His threat of sanctions and jail time shows just how seriously he’s taking the matter, given that similar behavior by the embattled former president has led to a deluge of threats against prosecutors at the New York Attorney General’s Office, the Manhattan District Attorney, the Fulton County District Attorney, and those on the Department of Justice’s Special Counsel Jack Smith’s team.

More finger wagging. It is time that someone get a little bit more serious.
