It seems like Floridians are leaving Florida for many reason. Expensive, the insurance cost and the risk of extreme weather events.

This article is terrible Let's rearrange this story chronologically. If I'm reading this correctly, a guy thinks he sees a stolen trailer being pulled by a pickup truck. He calls 911 and starts following the truck. The people in the truck see this guy following them and they see him holding something so they call 911 and report it as a gun. The Sheriff's office says that Cosgrove was responding to reports of a stolen trailer and shots fired. All three of those stories are mutually supporting despite being opposing positions - sure, shots fired appeared out of nowhere but the leap is a comparatively small one from what was reported to the dispatcher So where does it start breaking down: when they say Cosgrove rammed the truck with his lights off. He's responding to a vehicle in motion with stolen property and reports of shots fired and his lights are off? I don't buy that. The truck owner is saying that Cosgrove rammed him. Sheriff's office seems to be saying he turned in front of Cosgrove. Following party says Cosgrove was blocking the exit to the area and the truck tried to veer away when Cosgrove rammed him. There's a lot of possible options of what might have happened. I would not be shocked if the answer is that Cosgrove saw the truck turn away and decided to disable the truck right there and rammed him which to me seems unnecessary force, especially considering the degree of violence involved. The witnesses quoted in the article are all either the guy reporting the stolen truck or the passengers in the truck so none of them are independent. It sounds like the passengers in the truck recognized Cosgrove and berated him verbally after they got out for Breanna Taylor and his response to that was to perceive it as a threat and draw his gun which is not remotely ok. Overall, I'm not comfortable with what Cosgrove did here, but that article does not do a good job. I've used only the articles words as my source here but compare everything I just said to the first four paragraphs EDIT: It's worth noting, the idea that he turned away and then Cosgrove decided to ram him would explain the charge for attempting to flee as that was the basis for Cosgrove decided to apply force. Again, this seems pretty bullshit - it sounds like it was a split second decision and not necessarily in response to any instructions from Cosgrove - but the article focuses on the question of whether he fled the scene *after* the ramming. Can't figure out the endangerment charge... but it sounds like normal pansy police shit. I notice that there was no charge for possession of stolen property, though

I've used only the articles words as my source here but compare everything I just said to the first four paragraphs The article is absolutely terrible (garbled), but it was the only one I found since the details were fresh. I'm sure there's a better local article somewhere, which is why I added the link as a whole. As for this, it says the recognized him from before and was scared and that they called him murderer after he rammed the vehicle. But it is hard to tell if this altercation happened before or after he pulled his gun. I know things can happen within seconds, but it appears he is pretty damn fast on pulling his gun under most circumstances. There doesn't seem to be enough timeframe given in the exchange that gives enough pause to perceive a threat. More like the rammed the car, and people confronted him about it and he pulled the gun right away. Which is generally how we see these gun happy cops escalate. There's nothing in the exchange that appears to be the typical 'I felt threatened' and the other arriving cop seemed more or less pissed out about the exchange rather than any potential threats. Regardless. Outstanding police work.

Okay, regardless of what we think about the rocket strike against the hospital, the actual recording is the funniest shit I've ever listened too. It is so obviously fake. First, super crips audio in a warzone with barely any communication. The two people sound so scripted. I mean what a find by IDF. I can't believe their luck that a few hours after the strike they're like discussing this shit, taking full responsibility for the entire thing. This is A grade BS from Israel.
Or like someone stated, if IDF has managed to penetrate all their communications like this, with such crisp clean audio, how the fuck did they manage to keep the attack so secret? And why do they even need to bomb everywhere? Can they not pinpoint all these hapless villain henchmen through triangulation?
Again, it is fully possible that this was an accident. But given that IDF so far have released complete horseshit information about the supposed strike, from video evidence that was recorded 40 minutes before the strike, to this 'perfect phone call, it was a perfect phone call', it is clear to me that not even IDF knows for sure what went down. This is just as laughable if it wasn't so tragic, like doctoring images with a sign and blaming the death of a journalist on Palestinians kilometers away and then finally admitting to all of it.
I guess it is like with GOPers. Why try harder. It is not like any evidence will change the fact that most Western nations are providing full support.

The release of the 2 Americans apparently happened because Qatar worked with Hamas to secure their release because of the moms poor health.

Yeah, it is baffling. And not just attack after attack, but the very scale of the losses. It is like modern day wave tactics such as used in WW1, but with armored vehicles Is this Putin being a monster or the commanders just not wanting to tell Putin that they failed? The whole thing about armored warfare isn't to destroy your armor against well prepared defenses Kursk style. It is to smash through, exploit the breakthrough and encircle units and then let infantry mop it up after the enemy is cut off from supplies. If it fails without success (like depletion of defense that might require another coordinated push), you try somewhere else because the essential part of surprise and shock has been lost. And it is not like it has any aim here. They're not depleting forces tying up essential assets so they can exploit a breakthrough anywhere else, which is what happened when Ukraine managed to rout the entire northern part of the front. No, they're just throwing away all assets in one spot. Over and over. That is what baffled me the other day. This is in lack of better words...warfare malpractice. Because this isn't even attritional warfare. It is not a nation with the resources to spare bleeding the enemy dry. There's no parity in the losses. This is akin to the great Marianas Turkey shoot www.history.navy.mil/browse-by-topic/wars-conflicts-and-operations/world-war-ii/1944/battle-philippine-sea/turkey-shoot.html.

BBC no longer want to stand behind the their assessment of the strike against the hospital. The interesting thing of course is that when Biden visited Israel he claimed that the assessment was from Pentagon was that the 'other team did it'. When Media reached out to Pentagon they said talk to the White house. And of course what muddies this further is that locals where quick to state 500 dead with it even being a tele conference right after the event where they had bodies stacked by the podium. The whole thing as far as I can tell is just all sides making shit up. Which is fog of war I guess. But what is lost...again, is the fact that Israel has so far hit all hospitals in the area.
But more then anything, we blundered into what is turning into a pivotal moment in the conflict. Because the entire region is now in a uproar and regional powers are backing off from normalization, largely due because the shock effect right after the event, woke people up to the indiscriminate nature of what Israel is doing. Ironically overcoming the revolting nature of Hamas attack.
So what is the plan now when all eyes are on the conflict. To just wait it out until people lose interest again? The countries in the region cannot afford to just dismiss what is going on anymore. Israel have promised an incursion any day now, but seem to stall for time. Previously in order to destroy as much infrastructure as possible, and now because how ugly it has become.
Personally, and keep in mind I am just a guy who love history and games and consume copious amount of data just because that is what I like, think that initially Israel saw the chance here to gobble up more of Gaza and then on the low, gobble up more of the West Bank, under the guise of this being the worst attack since the Holocaust. And initially it was working. Entire western country gave unconditional support. Israeli officials have reflected this - with declaring the bloodthirst and lately even stated that in moving Gazan's south, they aim to gobble up part of Gaza. But.
After this - regardless of who did it - things has changed. People are now aware of the destruction in a different way. They are aware how up until now, Israel tried to starve them out. There is aid that is finally going into Gaza, and only after Biden travelled there and probably told them to make it happen (which is good). If you go back a week, Israel continued to bomb the area so nothing could come in. Now it can.
So what is the end?
My hope that Israel, with all eyes on them, thinking about the cost of blowing up their normalization efforts, walks away from genocide and further displacement. I don't think they will, but maybe for now let things cool and hope Hamas will be goaded into another atrocity.
Why? Well there seems to be no actual interest in ensuring the hostages freedom. Not in a normal way through negotiation and diplomacy. This is the odd part. They continue to destroy infrastructure with little regards to potential hostages. It is almost like the aim here, was never to secure their release, but rather use it as an excuse to level infrastructure to such a degree that no one could return and all rhetoric has been to use the shocking event as an excuse to secure some kind of buffer zone.
I guess we will see.
